Those adorable Minis

I was fortunate enough on day one of my return to get reinducted into the Minis! I feel naked without that emblem on my blouse. I've been a member of the Minis almost as long as I've been in Puddleby, and I must say I'm none too young. I'm not middle-aged yet, let's just put it that way!

As you may know, I was one of the Original Six Sisters:

Santeria (hot legs!)
Elise
/(^_^)\
Soulsword (:>-y)
Sparrow (marsh wanderer)
Solome (red pumps girl)
Maquiladora (sancho)

Ah, the good old days! We were as much about fun and mischief as hunting and helping. The original gang was crazy and it was great. Trainer lap sittings, sunnystones, purple uniforms, sneaking around town, drinking till we passed out... great stuff!

It wasn't long before new members began to join... Barbie Girl, Diotima, and others— adding to the fun! The clan became more and more popular... and it wouldn't be totally out of the ordinary if you were saved by an all-Mini rescue squad (naturally with the token male human, or sylvan, or...)! On the other hand, you could also get blind-sided by us on our more mischievous days.

The Order of the Mini absolutely boomed during the pre-War days... Mini-mania led to the expansion of the clan to somewhere around 28 members by my memory. For a while it seemed that every time I went out on a hunt I'd come across new members of my clan that I had never even met! It was out of control. Hard to have a clan that large when the bond is based on a tight-knit friendship.

Those odd Minis on the periphery came and went. But, the core remained and so did the sisterhood.

After the Great Forgetting, the clan was hit hard. But we scraped together the funding and womanpower to keep the Mini name alive, and eventually we flourished again. There were many ups and downs with the clan... I hate to say it but there was drama. My darkest time was when Allinca (formerly Sparrow) suddenly left the lands with only a vague note to the clan, and some of the original members couldn't agree on what the clan should be, almost splitting us in two. I became Dark Maqui. Scary, huh.

I hear I missed a second (or is that third?) Mini renaissance around 4 years ago, during the middle of my absence. Boy do I regret it! But who knows.... there is more Mini activity going on these days. Time for another?

And so now the clan survives, and I must say, things are really great. It seems to be more reminiscent of the old days than any other time I can remember. Lots of fun, with none of the drama. There are new members who joined in my absence, whom I'm just getting to meet, and they're great! (Also, I've met a fresh-off-the-boat exile who I think is looking to be perfect Mini material!)

By the way, don't forget to check out the new Mini scrolls I've been working on.
